Enrique Andres-Pretel joined Angle 42 to help blockchain-based startups sharpen their
strategic communications to achieve business goals. Enrique draws his expertise from 15 years
of experience as a Reuters political and financial correspondent covering top stories, from
coups and economic crises to street protests and major elections, in more than 20 countries.
Enrique is skilled at crafting business narratives to raise interest and spread messages across a
broad range of audiences, from the specialized crypto-ecosystem to the general public, from
local authorities to mainstream media.
After serving as Reuters Chief Correspondent in Central America, Enrique won a City of New
York University (CUNY) McGraw Business Center for Journalism fellowship for investigative
reporting in the Americas.
Enrique was nominated to the Inter American Press Association’s coverage prize for his work on
Venezuela with the Spanish newspaper El Confidencial. He produced the documentary film
“The Whisper of Sand: stories of the Sahrawi people,” winner of the Sahara International Film
Festival special jury award (Fisahara 2007) and he is the co-founder of the First Alternative
Pedagogies Workshop in Bolivia.
A wandering Manchego, he has a Degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of
Madrid, and he won an Erasmus scholarship at the Université Charles de Gaulle-Lille III
(France). He has a Masters in International Relations and Foreign Trade from the Colegio de
Politólogos y Sociólogos de Madrid.
